VISTA Job with Utahns Against Hunger:

Utahns Against Hunger has just finalized three AmeriCorps VISTA job openings and are looking for applicants! Being a English-Spanish speaker would be a plus because so many of the people Utahns Against Hunger works with in the community speak are Spanish-speaking.

The three positions available are:

· Northern Utah Outreach Worker & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA – based in Ogden

· Federal Nutrition Programs Outreach Worker & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA – based in Salt Lake

· Real Food Rising VISTA – based in Salt Lake

Lego League Program:

The FIRST Utah Lego League program has an exciting volunteer opportunity! 

They are looking for volunteers interested in inspiring kids to learn science, robotics, innovation and teamwork - all while playing with Legos!



  • They need competition day volunteers for FIRST Lego League competitions in January. 
  • Volunteers will get to be judges, referees, field managers and more!
  • Volunteers will get to help inspire and support kids ages 9-14 to participate in STEM subjects, teamwork and innovation.

Physical Education/Exercise Student Intern:

Guadalupe Charter School is looking for a volunteer Physical Education/ Exercise Student Intern(s) for children grades 1- 4, four days a week, Monday through Thursday from 2:00-3:00pm. 

Skills needed include:
  • Provide a planned 45 minute activity for children 1- 4 grade. (25 children in each class).
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Be knowledgeable about PE activities
  • Be able to communicate and demonstrate the activities.
  • Develop motor skills and physical development .
  • Adjust curricula to adapt to children with different physical abilities.
  • Small stipend provided.

Volunteer with Special Olympics Utah:

Special Olympics Utah is currently looking for volunteers to be part of their Area Management Team in the Salt Lake Area. This team of volunteers helps with a variety of aspects to put on Special Olympics athletic competitions and fundraisers at the area and state level.

They meet once a month to discuss and plan current events for the area and help out with various other activities and assignments as their schedule permits.

This is a great way to be involved with the community and gain leadership experiences. If you would like to fill out an application, visit their website.

Volunteer with Promise South Salt Lake

Want to volunteer and make a difference? Promise South Salt Lake offers many service opportunities close to campus working with under served youth (6-18 years old) at after school and out-of school time programs.

All that is required is for you to pass a background check, be a good role model for the students and a commitment of 1-2 hours per week. 

Volunteer opportunities include:
